Our Programs

Where Children Grow is our before and after-school programs that operate under the umbrella of Young Achievers Daycare. It has been in operation since 2006. Situated in many schools in the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO); licensed under the Ministry of Education for children 3.8 to 12 years of age.

Young Achievers Daycare is a non-profit organization which has been in operation since 2006. Situated in several schools in the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO), these facilities are licensed by the Ministry of Education for children 1.5-12 years of age. Some locations can accept children as early as 12 months of age.

Age Groups

Infant
(12 months-18 months)

Our St. Finnan's toddler program and St. Peter's family age group can accept infants depending on enrolment. Please note that these spaces fill up quickly and there are certain requirements that they need to meet to be eligible. Please refer to our FAQ's for more information.

Toddler
(18 months-2.5 years)

We have one dedicated toddler program at our St. Finnan's location, but our other locations can accept toddlers depending on current enrolment.

Preschool
(30 months-6 years old)

We have preschool programs at all locations.

School Age

You'll often hear our school age program referred to as "Where Children Grow" as it helps to differentiate from our full-day programs.

Canada Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC)

The federal and provincial governments recently signed the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement (CWELCC) aimed at making child care more affordable for families.

Young Achievers Daycare has opted in and applied for the CWELCC as of November 1st, 2022 and have been approved.

What this means for our families?

If you have a child under the age of six at Young Achievers Daycare your fees may be reduced by up to 25%

Definition of Eligible Child: “eligible child” means any child under six years old; and up until June 30 in a calendar year, any child who (a) turns six years old between January 1 and June 30 in that calendar year, and (b) is enrolled in a licensed toddler, preschool or kindergarten group, a licensed family age group, as defined in the CCEYA (Child Care Early Years Act)

All families with children under age 6 who attend Young Achievers Daycare will see an additional fee reduction of up to 37% (to a minimum of $12 per day), starting December 31, 2022.
