What are your hours of operation?

We are open from 6:30am-6:00pm Monday to Friday. Depending on your location, we may be open earlier at 6:00am.

Do you have subsidized spaces?

Yes, we do! If you think you might be eligible for subsidy, reach out to Cornwall Children's Services for more information: https://www.cornwall.ca/en/live-here/child-care.aspx

Am I charged when my child is sick? 

Yes, you are charged because your space is being saved for you whether or not you use the program.

How do I pay for childcare?

You will receive an invoice every two weeks through email and you can pay by etransfer to billing@wherechildrengrow.ca

What are the requirements

for an infant to attend?

An infant must be at least 12 months of age, walking, sitting and eating independently, be able to have only one nap per day and be able to follow the toddler routines.

Are you open during PD Days, school breaks and summer? Yes, we are open during these times as long as we have enough children registered. You must register separately for these programs and the spaces are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Where am I on the waitlist?

How much notice do I need to give if I no longer need childcare? 

You are required to give two weeks notice for termination of services.

Are you participating in CWELCC?

Yes, we are which means reduced childcare fees for you if your child is under 6 years old.

Are you open on snow days? 

Yes we are, unless the school board deems it too dangerous and the school is closed. When schools are open, so are we!

Are there part-time spaces?

Priority is given to full-time spaces, but sometimes spaces can be shared. Reach out to registration with interest in a part-time space to see the availability at your chosen location.

What is the age group of your programs?

We can accept children 12 months to 12 years depending on the program and location.

Do you provide lunch and snacks?

Young Achievers Daycare programs provide nutritious meals and snacks. If your child is attending a Where Children Grow program, then you are responsible to provide your child's snacks and lunch.

When does registration open for summer and fall?

Summer registration will open in March 2024, and fall registration will open in July 2024. Exact will be released closer to the date.

What is the difference between Where Children Grow and Young Achievers Daycare?

WCG is our before and after-school programs that operate under the umbrella of Young Achievers Daycare. It has been in operation since 2006. Situated in many schools in the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO); licensed under the Ministry of Education for children 3.8 to 12 years of age.

YAD is a non-profit organization which has been in operation since 2006. Situated in several schools in the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO), these facilities are licensed by the Ministry of Education for children 1.5-12 years of age. Some locations can accept children as early as 12 months of age.
